My Darkest Moment

My Darkest Moment —Daniel AKwetey McConnell, (2007)

It was Friday night and I felt alright after my mum had served me a hot meal(the soup was delicious). So I took my bath and decided to meet some of friends at the chief’s house to have a colloquy.

I saw Sammy and his brothers who are twins,And four neighbours on my arrival at the chief’s house. And we had a high-level serious discussion.

We decided to pick a car to the next town to have sublime and delightful night after a friend of mine had joined us.
We adjudicated and debated on wether to go with a car or barefooted, I was very smart among my friends. So a driver who made an appearance called me to join him to the next town if we wouldn’t mind without any apparent apprehension.

We also joined the driver without any discernment and angst that something could supervene.
We had arrived in the town at 9:30pm, we went to the town without any consignment, In fact I lost my conscious and excitement completely on that Friday night—my conscience was seared, I lost the holy spirit, I was not cognizant of my emotions after we had arrived in the town.

Because I did not inform my parents, they thought I was in my room reading, but unfortunate I outsmarted them with my smartness

I had a set of fireworks go off right next to me, I lost my conscious of where I was at that moment, it took me back to traumatic and dark times.
We spent 3 hours there,we had rapport Conversations but something traumatic and genuinely horrific happened to me on our way home (my traumatic experienced started there). It was the darkest and sorrowful moment in my life,it was the darkest Friday night in my life.
One of my friends got me severely injured on my head,
I Could imagine how I was running with the blood.

The blood was oozing from my mouth unsparingly, I was bleeding from my head profusely as well,it was disgustful and gory night. Well, You wouldn’t believe it but I got my blood on my friend’s hands, i was wailing to the expanse that I had to hide myself in the bush because I knew my mum would register her displeasure on me.

Tears and fears characterised me and I had anything to do to appease or allay that desperation and I had no alternative than locking up myself in the bush.

I am narrating all these because I got a hypertrophic scar on my head to show.
My friends I had gone out with didn’t inform my mum that they got me injured because they were shocked how the blood was percolating, they were engulfed With unwanted debris and frustrations. My friends weren’t stoned so I didn’t expect that hideous attitude from them. I felt contrite about my situation,i knew how giant my mum was( The only problem I had was my mum, because I knew she would inflict her displeasure on me). I was blood soaked and spattered.
Despite that fact that, I was bleeding and wailing profusely, I had the valour not to vouchsafe my vicinity to my siblings and my parents. That Friday night was the toughest moments in life but I knew hard times do not last.

It piqued me to call my mum though my Dad was in the house but I couldn’t control how the blood was seeping from my nose.

My question

What do you do when you find yourself in a toughest situation? How can you be certain of coming out harmlessly? It can help to know that there are myriad of angels persistently with us. I’m not talking of spiked beings, but of spiritual thoughts and intuitions sent from God to reveal the security.

An angel called my name,An Angel touched me,
An angel spoke to me.

And it was my mum

Emotional intelligence

Emotional intelligence comprises of social skills, self regulation, motivation,Empathy &Self Awareness.

Higher Emotional intelligence doesn’t mean more people will like you. It means you live more authentically, and so you have more flow, joy, grace, respect, integrity & life energy. It’s about stepping into your power, leading your life, and living your truth; not people-pleasing.Education is cool, but we should also consider classes that focus on social/emotional learning. We go through YEARS of schooling, but it’s rare to prioritize or acknowledge our emotional intelligence. It’s nice to pursue higher education, but self care is just as important.

DEALING WITH DRUG ADDICTION.

Addiction & personality

If you can’t feel comfortable, confident, joyful & show true aspects of your personality without drugs, stimulants & alcohol, ask yourself why. If you can invest in these things but not your inner healing, ask yourself why. Too many of us spend energy on escaping than addressing.but we shouldn’t forget that Shaming/mocking people who are addicted to drugs will always be gutter behavior,
Drug addiction is usually a result of mental health issues and we’re literally shaming people for becoming victims of a harmful coping mechanism.

Life Brings no guarantees no matter what we do.

Life brings no guarantees no matter what we do. But regardless it’s important to do our very best to make the most of every situation. Every experience has some form of value and benefit and no matter what happens, in the end, things always have a way of working out.One of the most common fears on earth is the fear of failure.

It’s embarrassing to fail. And it may reinforce your beliefs that you don’t measure up.You also might avoid doing anything where success isn’t guaranteed. Ultimately, you’ll miss out on all the life lessons and opportunities that might help you find success.

Don’t assume that what seems comfortable and familiar is always for your greater good. Staying within your comfort zone means you keep the same habits, the same thinking, and the same way of living alive, even if it’s not what you want.

Why do people fail in life?

Many people catch the indifference bug. They lack a clear, true passion. They’re reluctant to invest themselves top-to-bottom into a venture, project or pursuit. Many of them give up quickly. Others just lose interest. Many lack the wherewithal to even begin.

IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT PEOPLE THINK OF YOU, IMPORTANT IS THE ONLY OPINION OF THOSE WHO MEAN SOMETHING TO YOU.

What people think of you is a misunderstanding in some cases, but how you act shows them who you are, help them with their bad feelings by acting as you are, don’t worry about what they think, just align your energy with your inner self.

The time is wise You must realize that sometimes they don’t dislike you for who you are, but what they’ve heard about who you are. Some people devote their energy to loathing an illusion. It’s an unfortunate truth, so try not to let it consume you and take away your joy.

Small minded people take pleasure in pulling others down. They hold grudges for life and blame everyone for their failures. Some seek fame, some name, some acceptance, some money. Some all of the above. If they don’t get what they want they mock those who have .

It’s challenging when you’re going through hard times to see anything else. But no matter what’s happening in your life, there are good things happening too. Don’t ignore the good things even a small amount by allowing the negative to have all of your focus.

Sometimes we need to journey to the deepest, darkest, scariest, most painful places in order to reach the next level. That is what happened to me, but years later my life is better than ever and I’m loving every day. And so If I can do it you can make your life better too.

Too often we think being somewhere else, doing something else, being with different people, having other possessions will make life better. But where we are is great! Who we’re with (including just ourselves) is already perfect. What we have is enough. What we’re doing is amazing

Listen Very Carefully🌷

People who blame others for their failures never overcome them. They move from problem to problem. To reach your potential, you must continually improve yourself, you can’t do that if you don’t take responsibility for your actions and learn from your mistakes.📷

Look at this picture. She’s a Mother! she had a chance to run but she couldn’t leave the eggs. Many times women have the choice to quit risky situations including brutal marriages that cost their lives, but their pain is either their unborn or born but now grown-up children

DO NOT COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS WE ALL HAVE OUR OWN STORY, COMPARISON HURTS

The thing is, we are all on different journeys. Though our paths may converge at a certain point in life, we are still going on inherently different paths. This is the basis for the premise that we shouldn’t compare our lives with that of other people.

There are so many variables in play in a person’s life, some we can see and some we cannot, that determine the outcome of a person’s life.Comparing your life with that of someone else will only leave you feeling bad about where you are right now and maybe you’ve made some progress though it may not be evident to the outside world. The only person you should be comparing yourself with is your previous self. Have you grown from how you were a year ago? Any other comparison is of no benefit to you and your life.

Mistakes

Mistakes are a part of life so give yourself the permission to do so. We don’t always get it right. But with every mistake there is a lesson to be learned. And it’s these very lessons that enables us to grow into the person we become and achieve the life we want to have.

I saw my own grave.
My eyes traced letters,
On headstone of grey.
It was a message,
I could not understand.
It was not written,
In my own hand.

Into sand?
Who runs from stages,
When You stand?
Who lives for ages,
With a plan?

You are now a product of your past perceptions, and your perceptions now determine your future. Stop whining about the past and decide to perceive now. To perceive here is to see, however not with your eyes but with your mind. The human eyesight is very limited in distance as compared to animals like eagles who can see fish underwater from the skies. Even deer can see from two opposite directions at the same time. Perceiving with your eyesight is fruitless. Your eyes see your friends bagging degrees, instituting businesses, marrying, buying cars, making money, traveling, buying latest gadgets, and living a good life. You get intimidated and try fruitlessly to follow suite, forgetting that we all have different destinies in life. The Bible says to not look on the temporal but on the eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18). How do you do that? By seeing with the mind through imagination. Every good thing you ever wished for is unlocked through the power of imagination. That is your golden treasure. You are what you think or imagine (Proverbs 23:7). So go ahead and imagine. Create that uniquely perfect life by actively having realistic dreams. As far as you can imagine it, you will have it.

If this is you, good. I say good because you will never figure out where you’re going until you know where you’re coming from. I mean no great man or woman just ‘made it.’ They went through the process. They had to stumble and fall. They made mistakes and felt confused. At a point, they even felt their lives were empty. However, they didn’t give up and have now attained the heights they are. But you don’t want to remain at good. You want to be better. No, you want to be the best. The good news is you actually can if you follow these three steps below. All great people did.

Step 1: PERCEIVE – You are now a product of your past perceptions, and your perceptions now determine your future.

Step 2: BELIEVE – Then comes faith or belief. In fact, if perception and reality were two points then belief would be the bridge that connected them. You ought to believe in your dreams. Sure they may be too big in the sight of men but they’re puny in the sight of God and very easy for Him to help you achieve them. Contrary to popular belief, believing is not abstract; it’s an active thing you need to engage. You do that by praying, confessing, and working towards the goals. You need to pray because it is only the Hand of God that can ensure the Christian’s success in this wicked world. You need to confess because words have life (John 6:63). I believe David defeated Goliath because his words were mightier than the giant’s during their dialogue battle (1 Samuel 17:43-47). Speak health, wealth, influence, power, peace, and prosperity into your life. Speak even if you don’t feel or see it working because words have the power to inject life into that hopeless situation. Finally, you ought to work. If you’re not ready to work, don’t even perceive in the first place. Whatever it takes, invest your time, energy, strength, knowledge, and resources into your dream to make it a reality. This process takes a long time but don’t get discouraged if you don’t see results so long as you’re making advances. Remember the bridge we talked about? It’s actually a tunnel bridge. You will be in darkness as you move through it. However, if you keep moving you will get to the end and greet the warmth of sunshine.

Step 3: RECEIVE – This stage is actually a destination, not a step. You just relax and reap the blessings of God through your patience and work in grace. However, you need to work on your character here. They say ‘hard work may take you to the top but character keeps you there’. Stay humble, charitable, and generous. Be willing to lead others discover themselves too and most importantly, don’t be complacent. Soar so high that you will have to look down to see the skies.

The world has been waiting long enough to see you shine. Come out of your shell for now is your time. That dream isn’t stupid. It isn’t senseless, small, or useless. That dream of yours is the answer to the world’s crises. Apply what you’ve learned here, make an unforgettable impact on the world and be a blessing to your generation. Remember, no one can actualize your dreams for you but YOU ALONE! God richly bless you.

Lack of appreciation leads to not being able to see the importance of our small successes. Celebrating the small stuff is acknowledging that you’re well on your way to achieving what you want.

You can have a bad day, get a little discouraged, even shed a tear. But then pick yourself up and start moving forward again. You’ll get days when you want to quit. But If you want something better you have to push through, persevere and believe in yourself and your journey

Stop comparing yourself to others

The thing is, we are all on different journeys. Though our paths may converge at a certain point in life, we are still going on inherently different paths. This is the basis for the premise that we shouldn’t compare our lives with that of other people. There are so many variables in play in a person’s life, some we can see and some we cannot, that determine the outcome of a person’s life. Letter to my younger Self

I saw this concept when I read a blog post on the Tim Ferris website and decided to try it out. There are some things that we wish we knew when we were younger. Some things that if we knew back then, then we wouldn’t have made so many mistakes. But anyway, all that is in the past and all that matters is the lessons you learned from those mistakes. So based on this I decided to write down a list of things I would want my younger self to know.

Love more

It took me long to realise this but love is the essence of life. Everything good about life emanates from a place of love. So don’t hoard it. You have an endless supply of love within you, so do your best to give love freely. Love today. Love tomorrow. Love a little more every single day. Your love may be abused by others, but many more will benefit from your love. Focus on that and forget about the rest.

Worry Less

We spend so much of our lives worrying about trivial things. I look back at all the times I was worried yet the situation ended up working out in the end and I now see that there was no point in worrying. Worrying doesn’t change anything. Action does. Or sometimes, if you can’t take action, then acceptance of the moment as it is. But spending your time worrying about something is a true waste of time. I wish I knew that earlier.

Know Yourself

I wish I’d spent more time getting to know myself. It’s weird how we spend all this time getting to know other people and yet spend such little time knowing ourselves. Maybe it’s the desire to fit in that makes us deny the truth about ourselves. Because sometimes you know the truth but it’s hard to accept or you worry about how others will take it. Knowing yourself is a lifelong process and you will always learn something new about yourself as you continue in this journey. But the most important part about this is what you do with that knowledge. Will you have the courage to live it?

Stop comparing yourself to others

The thing is, we are all on different journeys. Though our paths may converge at a certain point in life, we are still going on inherently different paths. This is the basis for the premise that we shouldn’t compare our lives with that of other people. There are so many variables in play in a person’s life, some we can see and some we cannot, that determine the outcome of a person’s life. Comparing your life with that of someone else will only leave you feeling bad about where you are right now and maybe you’ve made some progress though it may not be evident to the outside world. The only person you should be comparing yourself with is your previous self. Have you grown from how you were a year ago? Any other comparison is of no benefit to you and your life.

Give more

People who are selfish are that way because they come from a place of fear and lack. People who are generous are that way because it comes from a point of love and abundance. Until you get over your fear and get to a place of love, you won’t be able to give freely. Giving definitely has its rewards because it almost always comes back to you. The feeling you get from helping someone in need is amazing. So give every time you can. Give because you want to not because you feel like you have to. When you give, it should be without any expectation of getting something back. Because intention matters when it comes to giving.

Live in the moment

We’re always caught up in the past and the future but never in the present. Sometimes we fail to really enjoy the good moments when they come because of this. You shouldn’t have to take drugs to get you in that state for a couple of hours, you should be able to live this way every single day of your life. Meditate. Teach your mind to be in the moment.

Speak your truth

Don’t be afraid to say the difficult things that people are afraid to speak out aloud. Our world is messed up because so many people are silent about the things that matter. So speak out, let your voice be heard. The people who ultimately change the world are the ones who let their voices be heard. Don’t ever move along with the crowd when your heart is telling you not to. The most important voice you need to listen to is yours.

Believe in yourself. You are worth much more than you know

We are our own worst critics. Whenever we do something wrong we beat ourselves up so much which is barely helpful in any way. How you think of yourself matters a lot and it will shape your actions in life.

There’s an experiment in Susan Jeffer’s book: Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway where she tells the subjects to hold their arm up and straight and she tries to push it back down. When the subjects are told positive and motivational messages such as ‘you can do it’ she is unable to push their arms down. She tries the reverse and instead of positive messages, the subjects receive negative messages such as ‘you are a failure’, ‘you can’t do it’ and when she tries to push their arms down the arm goes down with minimal resistance.

These are just some of the lessons I’ve learned so far, that I didn’t know when I was younger that I wish I knew. What are some of the things you would tell your younger self?

HOPE

When there is darkness all about you,
When there seems no end to the enemy,
When confusion has your mind in a stranglehold,
When your truth is a shaking reed in a raging river,

That is the moment when we realize that the light that is within was put there for a reason.

Change

Making real change is tough. It takes time, energy, and commitment and it can be easy to get frustrated when you see the things not moving in the right direction. So get in the habit of acknowledging and rewarding yourself for every step in the right direction.

Change

Change can take place at different levels but the deepest change, the most profound change is one that takes place when you change paradigms. When you change paradigms you change how you think, what you believe, your views of how life works, and how you experience every situation. It took my life falling into dark times to realize that I didn’t need my outside world to look or be a certain way in order to do and feel good, better, happier. You have within you the ability to manifest a better life and the potential to realize your dreams and aspirations.

Breaking up with depression and anxiety

Life becomes beautiful when we find a purpose to live. Often we fall into the trap of boredom and wander like a listless soul when we don’t know what do we want to do with life. And in the midst of idling often we indulge in bad habits and soon we are engulfed with depression and sadness.

To begin with, first, you need to explore your life. You need to find triggers that excite you, find activities which once you are involved you don’t see the clock, a purpose that calms your soul. You can do this by experimenting with ideas. Though ever person trigger points are different, I am giving an outline to get you started.

Find a Hobby, the easy and most easy to find what interests you. Writing, gardening, biking – find what interests you. Sometimes you will find a hobby interesting, only to lose interest soon. That is totally fine, keep trying other things. It is okay to explore.
Set some life goals, but don’t create an impossible list. Start with small goals, achievable targets. And As you meet them celebrate them. A Sense of achievement gives you belongingness.Exercise, that adrenaline rush will boost your energy level and drive positivity
Read Inspirational stories and Autobiographies, books are often the window to ideas, thoughts, and inspirations.
Make Friends, even if you are not social. You need that small milieu whom you can trust, vent and share your thoughts with
Create a Plan, make a year plan, break it down to monthly plan, then to weeks and then to days. Your mind should be always looking out to what you can incrementally achieve.

The Arts of Writing and Being A Writer

I know, I know. The writer is usually antisocial, asocial, or just shy, and the idea of building a brand is something that only those extroverts take pleasure in doing.

Well, tell you what: in today’s marketplace, if you do not have a brand, you do not exist.

So, what can you do to build an online brand as a writer?

Writing is not just an art, but also a business.

Before you even begin to think of building your brand, you have start viewing writing as a business.

And every business must have:

  • a social media presence
  • a portfolio
  • contact information

And, yes, you can do almost all of this via a website/blog. This is how your target audience will find you. This is how folks will be able to buy your books..

If you do not make yourself available, no one will find you.

That’s why it is crucial to build a beautiful website that shows off your personality, the genre you write in. Furthermore, the design of your website, logos, marketing material should all be in sync.

What message do you want to convey? What do you want a visitor to do when stumbling upon your website?

Now, you need to promote.

Most folks create a website, write a few blog posts once in a while, and then resort to complaining to everyone who’ll listen that nobody wants to buy their books.

When starting out, you must go to them. The readers, I mean. You must promote on all sorts of different platforms: Twitter, Facebook, Medium, or Quora.

The amount of time you spend doing this is up to you, but the quality of the interactions you have with people (who are all potential readers) should not be compromised.

Go all in when it comes to a book launch.

You build a brand by being unapologetic.

It is what it is.

If you silently release a book once every six months, and you barely write a blog post, most people won’t even know you are a writer.

You need to use all the tools at your disposal: podcasts, interviews, book signings, speaking engagements.

Offer a free download to those who subscribe to your newsletter.

Offer folks small snippets from works in progress.

And give them a glimpse behind the scenes.

You must, absolutely must, have a newsletter.

A newsletter is how you stay in touch with your audience. It’s a more direct, personal way than writing a blog.

Also, a newsletter is the perfect opportunity to establish yourself as an expert in your niche: if you write personal development books, you can ask your readers to ask your for advice, and you can answer an e-mail every week in your newsletter.

Or you can feature one of your readers there.

If you are a motivational writer, you can send short motivational quotes as a way to inspire your readers.

DO NOT, under any circumstance, use a newsletter as an outlet to share your blog posts. Or continuously self-promote.

You need to add value in every interaction you have with your readers.

Set some goals. Smash them to smithereens.

Building a personal brand is all about interactions.

It’s about getting the word out. It’s about developing a strategy that allows you to take those small steps towards your goals.

Ask yourself these questions:

  • Who is your ideal reader?
  • How many new readers would you like to reach on a monthly basis?
  • How can you reach those people? Where are they most likely to be?

Once you have established some goals and plans, then start by going after potential readers one small step at a time.

Do that podcast, start that YouTube channel. Write guest blogs. Do that interview.

The trick is to do the things that you are not only comfortable about doing, but also would enjoy.

Some are not good when it comes to video, so starting a vlog will prove to be time consuming and counteproductive.

Be self-aware enough to know what you’re good at and go all in.

Building a personal brand is not a difficult process. It requires a lot of time and energy, yes, but it all comes down to engaging with potential readers, and most times that can motivate and inspire you.

DESRC ELECTION SURVEY

A biggest survey conducted by Daniel A. McConnell,Level 300 Shows that Alex Quayson and his team would comfortably Win an election held today and would be crowned a tremendous success.

The survey asked students about their perception and choice of SRC leaders and team.

Beyond the clamouring, politicking on the ground and platitudinous utterances from SRC hopefuls especially the distance education fraternity of the premier University of Ghana, students must be cognisant of the fact that the leaders that they are going to elect in the SRC elections cannot deliver on all that they promise them in their manifestos no matter how populist or enchanting the message/candidates are.

A reason for this would be the fact that the term of office of the SRC is no match for the tyrannical enemy of time.

You are what you think or imagine (Proverbs 23:7). So go ahead and imagine. Create that uniquely perfect life by actively having realistic dreams. As far as you can imagine it, you will have it.

Isaiah 60:1 – ‘Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee’.

Do you have days when you find yourself crippled by your own disastrous thoughts? Do you ever feel a need to conquer your feeble thoughts of fear and doubts?

When you have those days and those feelings, the one act that will get your spirits high is reading and re-reading inspirational quotes.

Here is one such Inspirational quote about finding meaning & personal satisfaction even when circumstances are unfavorable for us in life-

As I began to love myself…

As I began to love myself I found that anguish and emotional suffering are only warning signs that I was living against my own truth. Today, I know, this is “AUTHENTICITY”.

As I began to love myself I understood how much it can offend somebody if I try to force my desires on this person, even though I knew the time was not right and the person was not ready for it, and even though this person was me. Today I call it “RESPECT”.

As I began to love myself I stopped craving for a different life, and I could see that everything that surrounded me was inviting me to grow. Today I call it “MATURITY”.

As I began to love myself I understood that at any circumstance, I am in the right place at the right time, and everything happens at the exactly right moment. So I could be calm. Today I call it “SELF-CONFIDENCE”.

As I began to love myself I quit stealing my own time, and I stopped designing huge projects for the future. Today, I only do what brings me joy and happiness, things I love to do and that make my heart cheer, and I do them in my own way and in my own rhythm. Today I call it “SIMPLICITY”.

As I began to love myself I freed myself of anything that is no good for my health – food, people, things, situations, and everything that drew me down and away from myself. At first I called this attitude a healthy egoism. Today I know it is “LOVE OF ONESELF”.

As I began to love myself I quit trying to always be right, and ever since I was wrong less of the time. Today I discovered that is “MODESTY”.

As I began to love myself I refused to go on living in the past and worrying about the future. Now, I only live for the moment, where everything is happening. Today I live each day, day by day, and I call it “FULFILLMENT”.

As I began to love myself I recognized that my mind can disturb me and it can make me sick. But as I connected it to my heart, my mind became a valuable ally. Today I call this connection “WISDOM OF THE HEART”.

We no longer need to fear arguments, confrontations or any kind of problems with ourselves or others. Even stars collide, and out of their crashing new worlds are born. Today I know “THAT IS LIFE”!

what have we experienced in the lockdown?

Daniel McConnell

By this point, most of the world has spent some time under stay at home orders, and many people (myself included) are still staying at home even though restrictions have been lifted. There are also speculations here in the Ghana that there may be more stay at home orders in the future (but that’s another topic entirely). A few days ago, I had a conversation with a friend about what life is going to look like in the future, speculating on that hoped-for time when we have a vaccine and people are able to move about and interact in ways that closely resemble life before.

That conversation led to a discussion of how the extreme situation of being locked down had led both of us to realize some important things about our lives, and how we wanted to make sure that we incorporated them into that future “new normal”. Today, I’d like to propose that we could all use a little reflection about personal takeaways.

I want to start with two things to consider, and there are a few more coming next week.

Connections

I think that being in isolation made a lot of us realize how much we value seeing and interacting with others. I’ve made strong efforts to stay connected to friends, family, and coworkers, and look forward to the time when I can see and spend time with them. However, I’ve also come to understand that I wasn’t fully taking advantage of these opportunities before. During lockdown, I was able to strengthen relationships that had been falling by the wayside, because I’ve been distracted by other things and haven’t put time and energy into staying in touch. I had gotten into the habit of declining a lot of social invitations because I was focused on work, and hadn’t really noticed that I was losing touch with some people. Lockdown gave me the time to reach out, but I know, upon reflection, that I can make the time moving forward, and I plan to do that.

I think that this experience has given all of us the chance to think about the people and activities that are really important to us, and to commit to prioritizing them in the future.

Work/Life Balance

I’ve mentioned many times that I love my job, and I generally don’t mind my 55-70 hour work weeks (yes, 55 hours really is how much time I work in a typical week, and there’s usually at least one week a month where I hit the 60-70 range). However, for a variety of reasons the fact that we’re all working from home has ended up cutting down on the work time. I’ve been working 40-45 hours pretty consistently these past few months, and I’ve discovered that as much as I like to work, I also like having more free time. Many of my coworkers have talked about appreciating the surprising shift we’ve experienced. On the other hand, I’ve talked to a lot of people whose work hours have increased because of working from home. It’s really dependent on the industry, the specific job, and the actions of leadership.

There are starting to be some indications from my job that expectations and workload are going to increase soon, and I’ve realized that (somewhat surprisingly), I’m not 100% ok with that. I haven’t yet figured out what I’m going to do about that, but I’m doing some serious thinking and analysis (I might post about that in the future) about what I’ve suddenly decided is a problem.

So that’s the second thing I believe it would be good for everyone to consider. And if you aren’t currently employed (retired, family caregiver, etc.), I’d still suggest evaluating your commitments and regular activities. If you don’t want to go back to the old model, now is the time to think about how to make changes.

What has lockdown taught you about your own life and priorities? What are other things to consider?

My takeaway from lockdown experience

Daniel Akwetey McConnell

Never in my wildly imaginative mind did I picture the world coming to a standstill the way the covid-19 pandemic has done. As much as we anticipate this nightmare to blow over so we can pick up where we left off and get back to normal, I’m afraid the normal as we used to know it might not return, at least not in its entirety. We are more likely to step out into a new normal and we’d have no choice but to adapt.

What if social distancing becomes part of life post-covid? How different would that make life for you?

This lockdown experience has caused me to reflect on what really matters pertaining to my life and I’m grateful to God for the opportunity to do so.

  1. Pre-covid, the tendency to rely on external things like job security, savings, and influential contacts was quite high. However in the light of this pandemic, it has reiterated the truth that God ALONE is my SOURCE to living. All other things are resources which are bound to get depleted at one point especially at a great time of need.
  • Family is everything. I don’t know how I’d have managed to live through this lockdown without my family. My heart goes out to those who due to certain circumstances, were separated from their family or loved ones during this time. Keeping up with virtual relationships is fun and all but no amount of likes on social media can make up for feeling the love of family face-to-face.
  • Isolation is a grave situation to find oneself in. Regardless of one’s space dimension at home, being asked to stay indoors against one’s will is a threat to one’s mental health. Humans are social beings and whether we like to admit it or not, regardless of temperament, we all depend on some level of interaction with others to keep sane.

This lockdown has given me a fresh perspective about the essence of social interactions. I deeply appreciate the sense of community now and when the ban on public gatherings are lifted God willing, I won’t take the freedom to congregate lightly especially for church fellowships.

  • I’ve come to realize and appreciate the silent servants of society who provide the essential services needed for our survival. For decades, a lot of people have been hailed as saviors of some sort thanks to their attractive brand presence. They may be well-deserving of the accolades but often times, they swallow up the shine of people whose work literally saves lives. Who knew shop vendors and attendants that most people disregard would be needed to keep going to work, risking exposure so that the rest of us don’t starve? Everyone is important, people; no matter if they are not social media influencers or degree holders. We all need one another.
  • God remains sovereign. There are a lot of questions about the significance of this pandemic and whether/why God has allowed it to claim so many lives. I don’t have all the answers but I choose to trust that God is in control and His plan for me and mankind will prevail at the end of the day. My faith has been grounded more firmly during this time and I’m ever grateful for His grace.

  • Emotional intelligence
Higher Emotional intelligence doesn’t mean more people will like you. It means you live more authentically, and so you have more flow, joy, grace, respect, integrity & life energy. It’s about stepping into your power, leading your life, and living your truth; not people-pleasing.Education is cool, but we should also consider classes that focus on social/emotional learning. We go through YEARS of schooling, but it’s rare to prioritize or acknowledge our emotional intelligence. It’s nice to pursue higher education, but self care is just as important.
  • DEALING WITH DRUG ADDICTION.
If you can’t feel comfortable, confident, joyful & show true aspects of your personality without drugs, stimulants & alcohol, ask yourself why. If you can invest in these things but not your inner healing, ask yourself why. Too many of us spend energy on escaping than addressing.but we shouldn’t forget that Shaming/mocking people who are addicted to drugs will always be gutter behavior,Drug addiction is usually a result of mental health issues and we’re literally shaming people for becoming victims of a harmful coping mechanism.
  • Life Brings no guarantees no matter what we do.
• Don’t assume that what seems comfortable and familiar is always for your greater good. Staying within your comfort zone means you keep the same habits, the same thinking, and the same way of living alive, even if it’s not what you want.
  • Why do people fail in life?
Many people catch the indifference bug. They lack a clear, true passion. They’re reluctant to invest themselves top-to-bottom into a venture, project or pursuit. Many of them give up quickly. Others just lose interest. Many lack the wherewithal to even begin.

  • IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT PEOPLE THINK OF YOU, IMPORTANT IS THE ONLY OPINION OF THOSE WHO MEAN SOMETHING TO YOU.
• Small minded people take pleasure in pulling others down. They hold grudges for life and blame everyone for their failures. Some seek fame, some name, some acceptance, some money. Some all of the above. If they don’t get what they want they mock those who have .
  • It’s challenging when you’re going through hard times to see anything else. But no matter what’s happening in your life, there are good things happening too. Don’t ignore the good things even a small amount by allowing the negative to have all of your focus.
  • Sometimes we need to journey to the deepest, darkest, scariest, most painful places in order to reach the next level. That is what happened to me, but years later my life is better than ever and I’m loving every day. And so If I can do it you can make your life better too.
  • Too often we think being somewhere else, doing something else, being with different people, having other possessions will make life better. But where we are is great! Who we’re with (including just ourselves) is already perfect. What we have is enough. What we’re doing is amazing
  • Listen Very Carefully🌷
People who blame others for their failures never overcome them. They move from problem to problem. To reach your potential, you must continually improve yourself, you can’t do that if you don’t take responsibility for your actions and learn from your mistakes.📷

Social change Vs Covid 19 in covidiot Season..

By Akwetey McConnell Daniel

While the world is feverishly trying to reduce emissions from fossil fuel usage, we get hit with the horrific contagious Coronavirus COVID-19. We’ve seen extensive self-imposed social adjustments to transportation that are very similar to what will be required to live with less fossil fuels in the future.

We’ve seen a serious reduction in the usage of the transportation infrastructures of airlines, cruise ships, as well as automobiles, trucks and their impact on the leisure and entertainment industries, all to avoid crowds.

Before fossil fuels and the thousands of products made from petroleum derivatives, and electricity that followed, the world was a zero-sum snake pit. One that was at war against one another scrounging for food, water, and shelter. In the 1800’s most people never traveled 100-200 miles from where they were born. Life expectancy throughout Europe hovered between 20 and 30 years of age.

The social lifestyles before 1900 had no such transportation choices, as they had no autos, planes, or cruise ships for transportation. The inventions of the automobile, airplane, and the use of petroleum in the early 1900’s led us into the Industrial Revolution. Crude oil, natural gas, and coal changed – for the better – the lifestyles of every person living in developed countries such as, the U.S., Europe, Japan, South Korea, and Australia.

We would not be able to “make products and move things” if not for the thousands of products from petroleum derivatives that get manufactured from crude oil that wind turbines and solar panels cannot manufacture.

Economies around the world, and all the infrastructures are increasing their demand and usage each year of those energy sources from deep earth minerals/fuels to make thousands of products, inclusive of but not limited to:

  • Medications and medical equipment for cures for most diseases
  • Electronics for worldwide communications
  • Fertilizers to help agriculture feed the world
  • Asphalt for all the roads
  • Tires for all vehicles
  • Steel for every building in the world
  • Wire for the worldwide electrical grid

Today, the airlines that did not exist before 1900, transported more than 4.1 billion passengers in 2017 around the world and projections are 7.8 billion airline passengers by 2036. Cruise ships which also did not exist before 1900 move 25 million passengers around the world every year.

Along with those transportation options available for society, we also have billions of vehicle trips to and from airports, hotels, ports, and amusement parks that are increasing each year. COVID-19 has shown us that society changes can reduce the demand of those growing numbers.

Yes, we may be using fossil fuels too extensively for leisure and entertainment but the developed world is where it is today, healthier and wealthier, because of all those products we get from those oil derivatives.

To meet those low emission targets, we’ll need to continue to reduce the transportation demands of society and COVID-19 may be showing us how we’ll need to retract from our extravagant usage of the various transportation systems that did not exist before fossil fuels.

Our future existence may be less vacations and less business conferences. Reductions in the usage of the entertainment and hospitality industries, neither of which existed before fossil fuels, may also be necessitated.

As we wean ourselves from oil, we’ll need to lower our demands for transportation infrastructures that COVID-19 has shown us the way.

As we wean ourselves away from fossil fuels, we’ll need to accept that developing countries like many in China, India, and Africa are still stuck in the pre-1900’s era. They have yet to join the industrial revolution and the opportunity to enjoy the thousands of products in our daily lifestyles. Of which may never do so as the fuels that support the demands of the various transportation infrastructures will be diminishing.

The same politicians that are thrashing on the oil and gas industry, and seeking its demise, are the same ones reaping the benefits of the medications, medical equipment, communication networks, and the thousands of other products. This from industries that have contributed to their lifestyles and their ability to live beyond 80 years of age. Those vocal about emissions need to join the conservation movement.

Yes the world has changed from the societies that existed in primeval times, without airlines, trains, vehicles, merchant ships, medications, fertilizers, cosmetics, and military equipment like aircraft carriers, battleships, planes, tanks and armor, trucks, troop carriers, and weaponry, and electricity that did not exist before 1900, but now may be the time to start showing our conservation cards.

At a rapid pace more and more countries and governments are moving their energy policies toward ridding the world of fossil fuels to electrify societies using only intermittent electricity from wind turbines and solar panels. Electricity alone may support a simplified lifestyle but cannot support the huge energy needs of the transportation infrastructures, nor provide the thousands of products that societies demand from those petroleum derivatives.

Motivationalplus

How would you explain inspiration, if someone asked you? According to Webster’s Dictionary, inspiration is the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative. Have you ever been inspired by someone or something, and if so who or what inspired you?

There were to psychologists, Thrash and Elliot that did extensive research on inspiration. The two have concluded that inspiration can be both powerful and motivational. The two psychologists describe inspiration as being assembled of three main categories: evocation, transcendence, and approach motivation. Now we can learn and understand what each category is.

  1. Evocation-

This is inspiration occurring impulsively. You are likely to feel as though something happens to you, as opposed to something you choose or intend to experience.

  1. Transcendence-

This is an experience of something beyond typical, everyday events. You may feel admiration and connected to a considerably strong energy source. You could have a sense of conviction and lucidity about things and instantaneously become aware of new opportunities.

  1. Approach Motivation-

This inspiration may cause vigorous actions and motivate you to try something new. You may find yourself open to opportunities of achieving things you once viewed as impossible. You can alter your perception of what you are capable of.

There are some amazing benefits that come along with inspiration, one being accomplishing new goals. Inspiration is also good for our overall well-being and can increase our feelings of gratitude and appreciation. Our moods can be lifted drastically from being inspired.

Being inspired can make what we once viewed as impossible, possible to do. We can raise expectations for ourselves, which may help others realize what they are capable of and the ways our beliefs can hold us back from success.

No matter what your goals are and whoever accomplished those same goals by making it look natural, you may feel little hope. It doesn’t matter how easy others accomplish their goals with their strong determination, we can do the same. Instead of feeling dishearten or jealous, you can view these people as role models and strive to learn from their success and ways they succeed.

Inspiration isn’t something we can plan to find, but there are certain ways to make it more probable to occur. For instance, if you have always wanted to write an article in a magazine or wanted to write a book, either plan to attend a book reading by one of your favorite authors or schedule time to meet with a writer of a magazine, so you can ask questions that will help you reach your goals. However, you can find the ambition, plan to be in an environment where people that could inspire you will be.

One of the most amazing parts of inspiration is, it can completely change your life in so many positive ways. It can change you from usual and normal to astounding and exceptional in an instant.

What does motivation mean to you? According to Webster’s Dictionary, motivational means designed to promote the desire or willingness to do or achieve something.

Each individual is motivated differently. There are two types of motivational focus that determine our behaviors.

  1. Promotion-Focus-

Those that are motivated in this way are motivated by promotion want to advance and want to avoid any missed opportunities. They will view their goals as a way of advancement. These people are enthusiastic, at an ease to taking chances, work swiftly, dream considerably, and think creatively. Regrettably, these individuals are susceptible to errors, might not think ahead or think things through andcould be unprepared if things do not go well.

  1. Prevention-focused-

People in this mindset view goals as responsibilities and focus on staying safe. These individuals worry about what could go wrong and play to win, not lose. They tend to work slowly and diligently and aren’t very creative, but they have magnificent analytical and problem-solving skills.

After the information I have provided, what type of motivation are you? Have you been inspired recently and if so, who or what inspired you?

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this post. I hope this information was beneficial to read and I look forward to reading your answers and reaction to this post! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love , comfort, and many positive vibes!

Injustice All over the place

Where is justice For the guiltless humanity That was prosecuted? Deprived of been arbitrated Before eyeing at the indication
Where is justice For child that was raped By his father, and mother Kept quit sensitive

Where is justice For the broods who Are highway broods And go starving despite the datum that Sister Citizen is full of bustle
Where is justice For the broods that was   Slayed down on the highway And scared out of your wits under the bridge?

Have we lost the capacity to Dream?

Is it just something for the young and inexperienced? Are we meant to be cogs in the machine, supposed to live our everyday lives keeping our heads down, going with the flow, and trying to survive this time on earth?

Is hope for something better a useless fantasy? Some pie in the sky? Something that dies with experience and age? Does everything we do amount to nothing in the end? Can’t we dream?

If that’s the case, what do we want from this life? Why live? To endure one more day? To continue with the way things are? I don’t like the prospects of that.

Looking at the world today, we see so much sadness and so much misery. And I’m not talking just about the misery of poverty and sickness. I’m not talking about the misery of inequality or injustice. I’m not talking about the misery of heartbreak and divorce.

I’m talking about a misery that breaks the surface, the misery that goes deeper, which is at the base of so many problems that we see:

Cardiac arrest

I spoke up for everyone else’s issues in life but mine
Spent so much energy helping others that I ran out of time
I needed so many things but my feelings were always put aside
Kept so much pain bottled up inside
Helped many people to heal while I stayed broken
Used my voice for others while my own struggles remained unspoken
I was in dire need of a peace of mind
But that peace was something I could never find…
Sleeping next to someone while I still felt like I slept alone
Going through so much made my heart turn to stone
So here I am in cardiac arrest…

https://instagram.co.com/realmcdan

Flat lined because I held so much shit on my chest
Nobody worked diligently to save me the way I did for everyone else
I learned the hard way that I should have spent more time loving myself
People took advantage of me because I had such a big heart
They were like vultures waiting for me to fall and once I did they tore me apart
Funny how the ones that turned on me warned me about the game
They were trying to soften the landing before inflicting any pain
I wish I were as selfish as other people seem to be
If I were, then I wouldn’t be suffering so much emotionally
A person can only take so much…
And a good person can eventually go from being loving to not giving a fuck
I should have loved myself the way I loved others…
Self love is the best love….
The most important love of them all
Any other love is a gamble….
If you take the leap, you must be prepared for the fall

BLACKLIVESMATTER

I don’t know if I was born in the wrong skin or religion,We are systematically taught that white is good and black is bad, whites associated with Angels and light and blacks associated with demons, darkness, nightmares, the devil etc. This is sad too see, we must seed the change we want in this world.

I don’t know if black gods are vampires,i don’t know if blacks are truly blacks. I don’t know if the demons are the blacks,i don’t know if the Angels are the whites.

I don’t know if bumba, yemaya and Shango are demons,I don’t know if Bacchus and Dionysus are Angels.

Why is it that angels are white and demons are depicted as being black? And just like ‘whites’ and ‘blacks’ are at war here on earth, we are treated to this celestial race war propagated by the Abrahamic religions. Man, religion sucks and is the origin of racism.

Why you should Never masturbate

Why You Should Never Masturbate…

What do Isaac Newton, Nikola Tesla, and William Shakespeare have in common? They are all great geniuses of the world. People admire them, emulate them, and even worship them. They produced such tremendous work that they changed the world for centuries. They were men who had incredible vitality and life-force. Because they had such incredible life-force and vitality, they were prolific geniuses of their field. Newton of physics, Shakespeare of literature. Tesla of invention. These great men possessed such tremendous energy and endurance that the entire world admires them even hundreds of years after their deaths. But how did they become so great? Was it their genetics or is there another reason why these men were able to create such prolific works of genius? How about you? Are you full of vitality and creative energy? Probably not, But I’ll bet you are curious why you never seem to have the mental energy to create all the great work you envision. If you are lacking in creative energy, vitality, and radiant life force it is because of one reason, a reason which I have discovered after nearly wasting my entire life. I have discovered the source of the greatest energy and creativity this world has ever known. This great energy is natural and abundant. It does not come in a pill, a cup, or a shot. You cannot buy it at a spa, a resort, or a doctor’s office. It is entirely free and there is actually nothing you must do to obtain this tremendous energy. It is entirely natural in you in abundance. The great energy and power of the ancient masters is in your own hands and I will show you how to harness this incredible energy to use for yourself. Before I give you the terrific cure for malaise, laziness, and stupidity I must first give you the terrible secret of the destroyer of man.

Number 1 health destroyer of men is called…Masturbation. Masturbation is the thief that robs your vitality, creativity, and life energy. That is the bad news but there is good news. This is the good news…When you quit masturbating you will abundantly increase your health, wealth, and energy. You will go from low energy to high energy. From weak to strong. From stupid to intelligent. From degenerate to upright. From sickly to vibrant. Why stop masturbating? I can tell you 10,000 reasons to stop masturbating and they will all be powerful. But I want to first show you one reason which highlights why you really must quit the bad habit of masturbation. This reason may sound silly, but new information always sounds silly. After you hear this reason and read the accompanying information, you will understand how important it is to never masturbate, ever again. You will understand that this reason has nothing to do with religion or morals and everything to do with science. You will understand that this reason is the reason you are not all you could and should be. You will understand why Tesla, Shakespeare and Newton all had tremendous vital and creative energy. You will understand fully why you must never masturbate.

Here is this reason… SEMEN IS LIFE-ENERGY. Every time you expel semen your life-force says “bye bye.”When you waste your semen you are literally wasting your life-force.The more semen you spill, the more of your most precious and vital bodily fluid you spill.Let me ask you, how is a child created? Through the semen of the father and the egg of the mother. The semen literally creates a new life in this world. The semen is so vital, so precious, so intricate that it creates a new life. Yet so many men are bamboozled by the modern industries of the world and they waste this precious bodily fluid right down the toilet, as if it were a waste product! So what’s the problem? The problem is that this vital force takes tremendous energy to produce. Each time this force is expelled you are expelling your own vital energy.Energy does not come from nowhere. When a child is created, it is created through the vital energy of the mother and the father. Each drop of semen contains your vital energy because it is meant to create a new life. Remember, energy cannot come from nothing. The energy of the child was once the energy of the mother and father. It is this energy that you must use if you wish to increase your health and increase your creative energy.Semen is the literal creative energy in man. Without it, there is no great creator and no great creation. This is why when a man creates his great work it is called his seminal work. Without retention of your semen you will create no great work and live no great life. Not only will you have no creative energy, but if you waste your semen you will not have radiant health.Grandma and grandpa were right when they told you all of those tall tales about how bad masturbation is. As bad as grandma and grandpa said it is, it is worse. Why is it worse? Because in our technologically hip world masturbation is pervasive and these so-called doctors and mental health professionals will actually tell you it is healthy. It isn’t! But not for the reasons you think…Masturbation is not a sin against God or an act of immorality. No, it is worse. It is an act of pure self-abuse that we actually believe is pleasure. Masturbation is but a moment of pleasure that causes a lifetime of pure pain. Masturbating causes you to live in hell on earth, but you never know the reason why. You think you are low energy, weak, and stupid because it’s this disease or that syndrome or this food or that food. Nope. The real reason you are a sick weakling is because you drain your literal life force. Each act of masturbation kills you slowly (and terribly).I am not here to scare you about damnation and hellfire. You aren’t going to masturbate and then go to hell when you die.Masturbaters, or “wankers”, are already living in hell;Depravity;the abyss.I’d like to show you a way out of the darkness and into the light.Rather than focus on the negative effects of masturbation (which are legion) I’d like to show you the great person you can be when you slay the dragon and learn to let your life-force build. The secret of male success is to quit the masturbation habit forever. There are many incredible things that happen to your body and mind when you do quit.Your self-esteem and self-confidence will rise dramatically. When you masturbate your self-esteem vanishes.

It is not because you are doing a shameful act, it is because the act is draining your sense of self. Actually, it is draining your real self. The semen is the life, literally. The semen creates a brand new life out of you. Your sons and daughters are you, they come from your semen. It takes a lot of yourself to make another life and when you drain this, you drain your sense of self. You must left yourself build by never letting your semen go to waste. Here is a terrific list of the things that will happen when you give up masturbation.Courage/Fearlessness;– Fear reduces a lot. It’ll become hard for you to be scared, even of dangerous things. In a dangerous situation, you’ll be aware of the risk but you will also be able to deal with it carefully instead of panicking and worsening the situation. You will start to feel what real masculinity is like.Better Eyes;– Eyesight improves considerably with the practice. And it’s not just the sight that improves but also the endurance of the eyes. You can then spend hours in front of your computer without your vision getting fuzzy and/or your eyes getting tired. In ancient times they used to say that “masturbation causes blindness”. It’s an exaggeration but there is a connection between the two. The floaters around the eyes also reduce or disappear completely.Blissfulness/Contentment– You will start to feel bliss, which will cause dispassion and distaste for sensual pleasures. Sometimes the bliss is so great that you lose interest in everything around you. To increase this bliss it’s best to practice self-inquiry (hold the I thought-feeling) as taught by Ramana Maharshi. The bliss is similar to the pleasure you get from sexual activity but more refined (subtler). It’s better because it’s continuous, and has an invigorating effect on the body.Better Memory, You will find it easier to remember things and you will also remember memories which you had long forgotten. Never mind old memories, you will also start to remember dreams which you had a long time ago. The mind will become much sharper.Better Immunity;–

The energy reserves of your body are much higher now so the body will find it easier to deal with illnesses; It may happen that illnesses actually increase in the beginning with the practice, probably because of the body healing itself from ailments, but all will be better in time.Lack of worry– Your worries reduce greatly. You will actually start to find it difficult to worry because you feel perfect or close to perfect. This will give you a sense of security enabling you to deal with difficult situations without worrying.Intuition/Spontaneous Understanding– The mind becomes incredibly sharp and able to grasp things easily. You’ll start to understand things intuitively without thinking about them. The answers will come to you naturally on their own. Suppleness;– The body will become more supple and flexible. Notice how flexible young children are? They haven’t wasted their vital force as much as adults and so their bodies are strong and supple.Calmness;– An indescribable inner calm develops. You will develop the virtue of patience quite naturally.Confidence; – You’ll develop vigor and confidence. Shyness leaves you and you feel comfortable with yourself. The increased confidence can easily make one conceited so be careful. Lack of Anger/Irritability;– The greater the bliss, the greater the inner peace. The blissful feeling makes it nearly impossible to get angry. Suddenly everything’s fine. Nothing bothers you anymore.Friend, I can go on and on about the benefits of giving up masturbation forever.Your mood will improve, your anxiety will improve, you will eliminate mental problems like excessive worry (you will stop being a nervous wreck), you will be able to control emotions, your skin complexion will improve, you will become more attractive, your body will become leaner, you will develop good;self-discipline, you will be able to overcome any addictions, your depression will disappear, your masculinity, virility and vitality will return, you will develop strong moral character, you will be complete instead of being lost, you will become radiant, you will develop a strong aura, you will develop animal magnetism, you will become happy, healthy, and free like a child, you will become calmer and more patient, you will become cleaner and more organized, your willpower will increase, and you will possess the ability to make more money. If that is not enough for you, know that killing the bad habit of masturbation is one of the core tenets of all religions the world has ever known. Here are is a quote from the Hindu religiou;which clearly states that this vital energy semen should not be wasted. My dear brothers! The vital energy, the Veerya that supports your life, which is the Prana of Pranas, which shines in your sparkling eyes, which beams in your shining cheeks, is a great treasure for you. Remember this point well. Veerya is the quintessence of blood. One drop of semen is manufactured out of forty drops of blood.

The secret to male success is to quit the masturbation habit! Friend I never accomplished anything in life until I gave up this nasty habit. I was a retarded moron who failed english class twice;I became a respected, influential, and rich writer only after I gave up the “dark arts” of masturbation and sex obsession/compulsion. It was impossible for me to ever accomplish anything in this life until I did. The great secret of sexual transmutation is to never waste your great energy unless it is to create a new life. If you are not going to create a new life, your great energy should be used to create great works of art, literature, and business. You don’t have to take my word for it. You can take the word of many accomplished men. Below are quotes that show you the great importance of retaining your energy.Sexual pleasure is an illusion. It is no real happiness at all. It is mere nerve tickling. All worldly pleasures appear as nectar in the beginning. They become poison in the end.Eminent doctors of the West say that various kinds of diseases arise from the loss of semen, particularly in young age. There appear boils on the body, acne or eruptions on the face, blue lines around the eyes, absence of beard, sunken eyes, pale face with anaemia, loss of memory, loss of eye-sight, shortsightedness, discharge of semen along with urine, enlargement of the testes, pain in the testes, debility, drowsiness, laziness, gloominess, palpitation of the heart, dyspnoea or difficulty in breathing, phthisis, pain in the back, loins, head and joints, weak kidneys, passing urine in sleep, fickle-mindedness, lack of thinking power, bad dreams, wet dreams and restlessness of mind. Mark carefully the evil after-effects that follow the loss of seminal energy! Persons are physically, mentally and morally debilitated by wasting the seminal power on so many occasions for nothing. The body and the mind refuse to work energetically. There is physical and mental lethargy. You experience much exhaustion and weakness. You will have to take recourse to drinking milk, to eating fruits and aphrodisiac confections, to make good the loss of energy. Remember that these things can never, never repair the loss completely. Once lost is lost for ever. You will have to drag on a dreary, cheerless existence. Bodily and mental strength gets diminished day by day. Those who have lost much of their Veerya [semen] become very irritable. Little things upset their minds. Those who have not observed the vow of celibacy become the slaves of anger, jealousy, laziness and fear. If you have not got your senses under control, you venture to do foolish acts which even children will not dare to do.He who has wasted the vital energy becomes easily irritable, loses his balance of mind and gets into a state of explosive fury for trifling things. When a man becomes furious, he behaves improperly. He does not know what he is exactly doing as he loses his power of reasoning and discrimination. He will do anything he likes. He will insult even his parents, Guru [teacher] and respectable persons. Excessive sexual intercourse drains the energy enormously. Young men do not realize the value of the vital fluid. They waste this dynamic energy by immoderate copulation. Their nerves are tickled much. They become intoxicated. What a serious blunder they commit! It is a crime that demands capital punishment. They are slayers of Atman [spirit or soul]. When this energy is once wasted, it can never be recouped by any other means. It is the most powerful energy in the world. One sexual act shatters completely the brain and the nervous system. The energy that is wasted during one sexual intercourse is tantamount to the energy that is spent in physical labour for ten days or the energy that is utilized in mental work for three days. Mark how precious is the vital fluid, semen! Do not waste this energy.Preserve it with great care. You will have wonderful vitality. When Veerya is not used, it is all transmuted into Ojas Sakti or spiritual energy and stored up in the brain. Western doctors know little of this salient point. Most of your ailments are due to excessive seminal wastage.A good lot of energy is wasted during copulation. Bad memory, premature old age, impotence, various sorts of eye diseases and various nervous diseases are attributable to the heavy loss of this vital fluid. It is greatly shocking indeed to see many of our youth walking with tottering steps, with pale, bloodless faces owing to loss of this vital fluid, instead of jumping hither and thither with agile, nimble steps with vigour and vitality like the squirrel. Some people are so passionate and weak that even the thought or sight or touch of a woman causes discharge of semen. Pitiable is their lot!Why do you lose the energy that is gained in many weeks and months for the sake of the little, momentary sensual pleasure? Falling of semen brings death; preservation of semen gives life. Semen is the real vitality in men. Dr. Nicole says: “It is a medical and physiological fact that the best blood in the body goes to form the elements of reproduction in both the sexes. In a pure and orderly life, this matter is reabsorbed. It goes back into circulation ready to form the finest brain, nerve and muscular tissues. This vital fluid of man carried back and diffused through his system makes him manly, strong, brave and heroic. If wasted, it leaves him effeminate, weak and physically debilitated and prone to sexual irritation and disordered function, a wretched nervous system, epilepsy, and various other diseases and death. All waste of spermatic secretions, whether voluntary or involuntary, is a direct waste of the life force. It is almost universally conceded that the choicest element of the blood enters into the composition of the spermatic secretion. The suspension of the use of the generative organs is attended with a notable increase of bodily and mental and spiritual vigor.” How to Stop Masturbating The great lie about masturbation is that it is “hard to quit” and lifelong. This is so wrong! When you understand the great power you will obtain when you quit, and when you understand the great health problems you give yourself when you don’t quit, it becomes INCREDIBLY EASY TO QUIT! First thing you need to understand is this: Masturbation is not a biological need, it is a mental addiction. You become addicted to this death-spasm like people become addicted to heroin. It’s great when you first shoot up heroin, then it is a lifetime of hell. Masturbation works the same way.Not to mention that many say that semen is made up of cerebrospinal fluid, when this fluid is gone your body and bones start to hurt. Masturbation is a big reason why so many have unexplained lower back pain and joint pain.Understand that it does you no good and it causes all of your problems. Yes, self abuse causes most of your mental and physical problems and sicknesses. Doctors won’t admit it but doctors don’t make any money when you are well. Nearly all problems are directly traced to masturbation. It is the #1 cause of illness in this world.“But I need to release!” You don’t actually. It’s the very last thing you need to do. It is an addiction saying you need to release, it is not reality. In reality, the release you crave is literally killing you. Both your spirit and your body.“But I will be so unhappy without it. Actually you are unhappy with it but you are unwilling to see it. You will be enormously happier without it. That’s why the people who masturbate are called walkers and the people who don’t are called saints.“But it feels good so there can be no problems with it. Eating junk food also feels good, so there can be no problems down the line right? Wrong. We all know own what happens when you eat food that is too sweet and rich. Fatness, sickness and premature death. It feels good for a moment and causes pain for a lifetime. You get immediate please for long term pain, just like when you eat junk food. And just like when you eat junk food, masturbation slowly kills your mind and your body. We could all act like a bunch of retarded deviants and pretend that masturbating is healthy and normal for you. Or we could confront this obvious problem like men. Masturbation is killing you and if you argue this fact your what the guys in England call a “wanker”. A wanker is a loser, a masturbating simpleton. If that is you, do something about it.Oh, and to answer my original question. What do Tesla, Shakespeare, and Newton have in common? They never masturbated in their lives. They were “celibate” meaning they did not spill their precious energy.“I believe it is right to live celibate.

How to study without stress

REVIEW NOTES FROM CLASS EVERY EVENING

After school, review and expand on the notes from class. Reviewing notes helps move material learned from short-term memory into long-term memory, which will help next time you have a big test.

TALK TO TEACHERS

Teachers are there to help you do your best. Talk to your teacher and ask for clarification or extra help if you need it before your test. Taking the initiative to ask for help goes a long way with teachers!

DESIGNATE A STUDY AREA

The best study spot is one that is quiet, well-lit, and in a low-traffic area. Make sure there is a clear workspace to study and write on. Everyone’s needs are different, so it is important you find a spot that works for you.

STUDY IN SHORT BURSTS

For every 30 minutes you study, take a short 10-15 minute break to recharge. Short study sessions are more effective and help you make the most of your study time. Find out more about taking a study break that works .

SIMPLIFY STUDY NOTES

Make studying less overwhelming by condensing notes from class. Underline or highlight key words. Create visual aids like charts, story webs, mind maps, or outlines to organize and simplify information and help you remember better.

STUDY WITH A GROUP
Working with classmates encourages an interactive environment to keep you engaged. This gives you a chance to test your knowledge with others, quiz each other on the content, and help boost each other’s confidence.REVIEW NOTES FROM CLASS EVERY EVENING

Problems of university students

PROBLEMS OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

– Problems May Include, But are Not Limited to:
Disorganization/feeling overwhelmed
Eating right and staying healthy

Failing to manage money
Failing to network
Homesickness

Not resolving relationship issues
Poor grades/not studying or reading enough
Poor sleep habits
Skipping classes
Wasting time/procrastinating
Interventions:

The following tips are for students to help themselves avoid some of the negative affects of these problems. While these issues are certainly not exhaustive, many college students will be affected by a number of them during their college experience.

1. Reducing feelings of homesickness may be difficult for some but may be accomplished by remaining on campus during the week and on weekends. This may help students to get to know their campus and become more involved in athletic and social events.

Students learn more about campus resources and make friends with other students, with whom they may find common ground. Stay in touch with those back home through phone, mail and email but force yourself to become part of the culture within your new academic world.

2. Eating right and staying healthy will help you accomplish your academic goals and make your college experience much more fun. Get enough exercise and monitor the amount and quality of your food and drink consumption. This will increase the odds of staying physically and mentally healthy.

3. Poor sleep habits will leave you ineffective in your work and play as a college student. Take this challenge and read a current study related to the need for sleep and the effects of sleep deprivation on our health, both our physical and mental health.

MOTIVATIONALPLUS BY MCCONNELL DANIEL

We don’t intentionally say or do the wrong thing. It’s our conditioned mind and ego that responds to most situations automatically. We can choose to react differently, but only when we become aware of what we’re doing. We know better, afterwards and so we learn for the next time.

1.

Sometimes, the weight of our problems feels too much to bear alone. It’s then we must reach out to others to lift us up. We all should have a sense of obligation to help each other when we need it the most. We can make our lives better together.

2.

What’s the meaning of life? – you decide. You bring meaning to your own life by what you do. Instead of going through life without meaning, stop along the way and begin to notice things around you, begin doing things because you want to do them not because you have to.

3.

When your struggle is over you’ll wonder how you made it through, how you managed to survive it all. You won’t even be sure that the struggle is over. But one thing is certain. When you leave the struggle behind you won’t be the same person again.

4.

Many people just complain about how they dislike what they’re doing and how their life is. Yet when you ask them what they’re doing about it, they come up with a bunch of excuses to lessen the blame which amounts to “nothing”. To change anything something new must come from you.

5.

Every day gives us an opportunity, to do something that will impact our lives. So don’t waste your days because you lack motivation or feel uninspired. Ask yourself ” What can I do today that will make me feel enlightened, uplifted or just a little bit more okay today.

6.

There are many things in life we have no control over. We can’t stop the rain on a day we want the sun. We can’t control how other people feel and think. All we can control is our own selves. When we give our attention to the things we can control, we’ll be much more at ease

7.

When you feel overwhelmed and tired it’s easy to lose perspective on what you’ve actually accomplished so far. The things you’ve learned, the steps you’ve taken and the obstacles you’ve overcome. Look back and celebrate how far you’ve come.

8.

Giving up doesn’t mean you have failed. Sometimes it means you are someone who is mature enough to know when to cut their losses and move on, someone who is brave enough to protect their mental well-being, and someone who is willing to take the risk of making new choices.

9.

Most of the time someone going through difficulty isn’t looking for pearls of wisdom; but someone who gets what they’re going through and can just be there in their time of need.

10.

Keep going even if you feel everything is going against you, for that is just the time when the tide of hardships turn and things start getting better. Learn how to look on the bright side after a bad week so that one miserable week doesn’t turn into a miserable weekend.

11.

Don’t get lost in thoughts about what you could have, would have, and should have done differently. An overactive mind will make your life miserable. Stop spending time in your head and reconnect with your senses, notice what you can hear, see, smell, taste, and feel.

12.

Gratitude helps you realize all the good and positive things you already have in your life regardless of how insignificant they may seem. There is no way you can be grateful and negative at the same time. What are you grateful for? Create your own gratitude list.

Treat yourself with kindness and you will find that you get through difficult times with more ease and grace than if you’re not caring for yourself and berating yourself for every wrong thing that happens or that you do.

Daddy

His Hands made me Bleed

His hands made me bleed more than the blade ever did
They broke me more than they ever built
If they ever did build anything then it is the cell in which I reside

The only playground I’ve ever known is enclosed by the four walls of my room
At some point I did consider it as a prison
but I’m found more comfort behind the bars of pain
than I ever did in his heart
Now I call it a playground
Of course I have cellmates(friends)
Those are called tragedy, traumatic memory and darkness

My tears formed an ocean with the island of hopeless in the middle
I reside there isolated from the world
Anyone who tries to save me drowns
So to save you I isolate myself from you

All his words ever did was cut the last pieces of my heart
I built all wall of glass around that from the rest of the world
If you break the wall
You’ll hurt yourself and even me more

His eyes are filled with the blood of hatred
Even my love could not subdue it
I love my father deeply
But if every man be like my father.

Happy Father’s day to all potential Fathers
